On small repairs, we recommend using rubbing compound to bring the level of both the basecoat and clearcoat down. Please note, you cannot use regular lacquer thinner. There is a big difference between the lacquer thinner they sell at Home Depot versus the automotive lacquer thinner sold by PaintScratch. Our paint is not soluble in regular lacquer thinner so you need to use automotive lacquer thinne with our paint.

Description: A clear spray that makes paint stick to all automotive surfaces such as vinyl, plastic, fiberglass, galvanized metal, chrome, aluminum and glass.
Application: Once you have completed your repair of the surface you are painting (if it needed repairing before painting), use this product to ensure good adhesion to surfaces that normally do not allow paint to adhere well. If you are repainting a surface which already has paint on it, you do not need to apply the adhesion promoter. Just scuff the surface and this will provide a good bond. If you have taken the surface down to the original substrate, i.e. sanded all the way down to the rubber on a bumper, you will need to apply this product.
