Using SEM Adhesion Promoter for Non-Metal Surfaces
For non-metal surfaces, it is crucial to use SEM Adhesion Promoter to ensure proper paint adhesion. Not using it can lead to the paint peeling off within a few months.
SEM Adhesion Promoter Application Steps
- Sand the surface smooth before applying the promoter.
- Apply a light coat of SEM Adhesion Promoter and allow it to dry for 5 minutes.
- Follow with a wet coat and let it dry for 15 minutes.
- Allow the promoter to flash dry (until it no longer looks wet) for 15 to 30 minutes before topcoating.
- Important: SEM Adhesion Promoter must be sprayed before applying primer, followed by basecoat and clearcoat.
- Use body filler under the adhesion promoter.
